Custom Protection Moulded around the person, specified around the job.
Individual impressions create the seal. Filter selection, communication needs, wear time, and environment shape the recommendation.
About Pacific Ears
Pacific Ears designs, fits, manufactures, and supports custom-moulded hearing protection programs across Australia and New Zealand, combining local production with practical on-site rollout experience.
Local Program Partner
20+ years of workplace hearing protection, on-site fitting, and in-house manufacturing support.
Origin
Pacific Ears was founded in New Zealand in 2005 to address a gap in the local market for custom-moulded hearing protection. As industrial demand grew, the business expanded into Australia and built the cross-border manufacturing and fitting model used today.

What We Do
Pacific Ears makes custom-moulded hearing protection for workforces in noisy environments, with communication filters and radio connections built directly into the same moulds where needed.
Custom Protection Individual impressions create the seal. Filter selection, communication needs, wear time, and environment shape the recommendation.
Communication Integration Radio connections and communication filters can be integrated into the same custom mould for teams that need clarity under noise.
Workplace Programs Site assessment, fitting coordination, manufacturing, labelled delivery, refits, replacements, and new-starter support are planned together.
Who We Work With
Site-based workforces, infrastructure projects, and large-crew rollouts.
Open-cut, underground, and processing teams in extreme-noise environments.
Integrated radio and communication filters built into the same custom mould.
Pit crews, officials, and drivers needing clarity under pressure.
Operational hearing protection and tactical communication systems.
Sound engineers, performers, and crew working long hours on loud stages.

Program Ownership
A B2B hearing protection program is a supplier relationship, not a one-off purchase. Pacific Ears keeps the clinical, operational, and account support work connected.
Clinical Standard
Impressions, filter decisions, and aftercare are treated as technical decisions, not just product selection.
Operational Delivery
Fitting sessions, worker lists, named delivery, and replacements are coordinated to reduce disruption on site.
Account Support
Teams can return for refits, replacements, filter changes, and new-starter orders without restarting the whole process.
How We Work With Businesses
We tell you up front what each stage involves, what we need from you, and what your team should expect from us.
01
We map the workforce, site profile, noise exposure, communication needs, and procurement constraints.
02
Our team captures individual impressions on site, scheduled around shifts and production windows.
03
Each mould is made locally with the agreed filter, colour, communication, and worker identification details.
04
Replacements, new-starter fittings, filter changes, and annual reviews keep the program useful after launch.
On-Site Fitting & Bulk Rollout
Built for whole-team programs, regional sites, and repeat procurement.
Most consumer suppliers fit one person at a time in a clinic. We bring the fitting model to the workplace, schedule around shifts, and support new starters and replacements after the initial rollout.

Manufacturing and Compliance
Every protector is custom-moulded in our own facilities in Australia and New Zealand from medical-grade, biocompatible silicone. Each pair is built from an individual ear impression and supported by a digital impression archive.
Independently tested to the Australian and New Zealand standard for hearing protectors, with attenuation ratings up to Class 5.
Biocompatible, hypoallergenic, non-porous silicone formulated for prolonged skin contact and shift-to-shift cleaning.
Custom moulds are produced in Pacific Ears facilities with local quality control and a direct support trail.
Digital impression archives and named worker delivery help teams manage replacements, refits, and ongoing compliance.
